Highly Reflective Material
The reflective fabric in Rotalux HD is of the same high quality used in the large light banks of the Litemotiv series. With an exceptionally high reflection rate, Rotalux HD provides stronger light intensity compared to standard softboxes of the same size.
Heat-Resistant Fabric
Rotalux HD is designed to withstand the heat generated by a 650W halogen lamp, making it perfect for lighting with LED lamps.
Outstanding Light Distribution
Thanks to an innovative design, the light is very evenly spread across the large front fabric of Rotalux softboxes. The combination of double diffuser fabrics and the reflective fabric with the flash's own reflector ensures incredibly even light distribution.
Double Diffuser Fabrics
Rotalux softboxes have double diffuser fabrics. The light pattern can be quickly and easily varied by removing the front fabric or both fabrics. Without the diffuser fabrics, the light becomes harsher with high contrast, similar to a large reflector.
Openable Reflective Fabric
The reflective fabric on Rotalux HD has four flaps at the speed ring that can be opened. This creates new creative opportunities as the camera lens can be placed inside the softbox during shooting. The flaps also increase access to the speed ring's lock screw when the softbox needs to be rotated in its mount and create extra ventilation openings for long photo sessions and extended use of the modeling lamp.

Wide Range of Accessories
Thanks to Elinchrom's central umbrella mount, several different light-shaping accessories can be used simultaneously. By mounting a deflector in the softbox, the light can be further diffused or hotspots can be removed when no diffuser fabrics are used.
